Mr. Garrison's Slab Pile
$5,250.00Price
The location of this painting was at Mr. and Mrs. Garrison's farmhouse off Highway 8, on Hunt Road, in Davidson County, North Carolina. The grandmother of Bob Timberlake's wife, Kay, was married in the front room of this house in the year 1913. The slab pile mentioned in the title refers to the penchant of the owner, Shorty Garrison, to collect slabs of wood from nearby sawmills and arrange them between two cedar trees for winter burning in his wood stoves.
This painting was the basis for Bob's very first limited-edition reproduction in 1971.
